About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team and help shape the future of data and AI at Bokadirekt.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving the data platform that powers analytics, business intelligence, and AI across the company. You'll work at the intersection of data engineering and AI, ensuring our data infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and ready to support everything from reporting and experimentation to LLM-powered features and machine learning pipelines.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to create high-quality data products and enable data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on both our technical platform and how data and AI are used to create value for millions of users every month.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and optimise scalable ELT pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives across the company

• Build a reliable, trusted and well-documented source of truth for company KPIs

• Work on the integration of AI capabilities into our data infrastructure

• Collaborate on the development and deployment of machine learning solutions and AI-powered features

• Identify and carry out data platform cost optimization initiatives

Who you are

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Physics or related field

• Proven experience (4-6 years) as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, ML Engineer or AI Engineer, ideally in a technology-driven environment

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python

• Solid data engineering fundamentals with hands-on AI experience

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Gemini Agent Platform, Looker), Airflow, dbt and Cube is a plus. Bonus points for prompt engineering, LLM APIs, NL querying and RAG

• Professional fluency in English
